The Malian Foundation's Consulting
Services Program provides strategy, process, information
technology and people related management consulting
services, at no charge to charitable causes, via an
international network of experienced volunteers.
We have collated
some of our most frequently asked questions to help you
better understand the services we offer.
What is the process for
obtaining consulting services?
To begin a shared project using the Consulting Services Program
please ensure you have opened a free account with our Empowering
Communities Program and have made full use of the various
open-source software and management tools it offers. By ensuring
that your charitable cause has made usage of the Empowering
Communities Program, your charitable cause will be in a better
position to benefit from the management consulting services we
provide. Once your charitable cause has implemented the tools
within the Empowering Communities Program you may lodge an
application with the Malian Foundation's Sydney office, using
the official application form, detailing the assistance your
organization requires.
Does the Program cater to urgent requests?
The aim of Consulting Services Program is to assist charitable
causes in a sustainable way rather than working on 'urgent'
ad-hoc projects which may not be central to the client's long
term objectives. We often work with our clients starting on a
specific project and continue to support them over the years on
various other projects. Our consulting model and project
approval framework means it takes around a month or so for a new
project to be initiated.
Does the Program accept every single application?
Consulting Services require a certain level of clear direction,
objectives and motivation on the part of the applicant in order
to receive sufficient benefits from participating. In light of
this, some charitable causes are better assisted by
the Empowering Communities
Program, offered without charge to charitable
causes worldwide,
which provides management and open-source software tools focusing
on common issues surrounding
non-profit organisations such as volunteer
management, fundraising,
strategic
planning and donor relations.
Is there any charitable cause not supported?
The Program does not support any cause which
discriminates on the basis of race, nationality, gender,
color, creed, sexuality, age, ability or social
background.
How can I volunteer to work within the Program?
The Foundation's Consulting Services Program presents a
number of opportunities within the non-profit sector. We
welcome and encourage individuals to send applications.
